gallery 4: cactus        inquiries and pricing: rushingwindart46@earthlink.net

I grew up eating cactus, now I just paint them. I am enjoying the different shapes they take on thru out the year, they seem to be more abstract in late spring / early summer due to the fruit it bears, then in late summer the fruit fall off often leaving the cactus looking sad. I have been capturing the early morning sun to paint the cactus, because of the shadows it cast on the other blades of the cactus making it even more abstract. I hope you enjoy viewing them as much as I painted them. now I'm hungry I think I will go and eat some cactus now.
